SCOTTY HAYS: Music

CAVEMAN SAM

(SCOTT E HAYS)
Caveman Sam, early modern man, crouching over his computer screen
Where the strong survive, on the battle lines, at the frontier of software technology
Batch installs, and building firewalls, at the stroke of the keys,
Marauder of zero’s and one’s, snatching password’s out of data streams
There’s no server in the world he can’t assault
From his cave of carpeted half-walls

Now Sam is tired, but the coffee keeps him wired, and his anger keeps him alone
So Sam gets by, relying on his mind, while his heart is petrified, callous and cold

He’s packed his head with every fact he could fit in,
But missed the most important things, like…

Laughter is medicine, Love is without condition, and it warms the heart to feel the sun
It’s better to give then to receive, to listen then to speak, and the best things in life are free!

His mind is modern but his soul is on the brink of becoming extinct
He’s always acting on his primitive instincts, missing all the missing links, like….

Laughter is medicine, Love is without condition, and it warms the heart to feel the sun
It’s better to give then to receive, to listen then to speak, and live with charity and peace
As you think so shall you be, the best things in life are free,
Divided we will fall, but we can stand in Unity!
Imagination is greater than intelligence, this is the wisdom that lives and breathes
The nature of ancient philosophy, the proven laws of humanity
For the evolving human being! Cuz we taste, we touch, we feel, we see, we breathe, we breathe, we breathe….
